Will the city commissions throughout Florida do the responsible thing by stopping the
continuous ruin of the beautiful beachside areas? A plan to limit development of
buildings to height of 3-5 stories is smart. Doesn't anyone think of the 7
generation rule? How what WE do in this lifetime will affect the next 7
generations afterwards? Shading of the beaches will change things, also the
traffic and pollution from the traffic, and what about waste management? How
will that be affected.
I see building into the sky higher than a
responsible height as nothing more than greed. "Pack'em in!"... cause the
city/county gets the taxes from each apartment/condo/hotel room. But how does it
really benefit us as residents? There isn't any real economy here in some of these areas
anyway- so who is gonna afford these condos? What type of people will it bring.
What scares me the MOST as a longtime beach resident is thinking my home sweet
home will one day look like Miami or NY. A concrete parking lot surrounded by water,
what's left of it after I am sure fill will be used eventually to put more
marinas and condos in the intracoastal waterways.
Hey Commissioners! Please STOP this from happening. The developers don't need to
decide HOW Floridians should live, but rather WE should decide how they
build.
